Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse
The latest movie part of the Spider-man franchise is called Spider-man Into the Spiderverse. First of all, this movie is surrounding Miles Morales (another version of Spiderman from a different reality). The movie focusses on how he becomes Spiderman with the "end of the world scenario" whilst juggling his life outside of being a superhero. Along the way Miles encounters many other fun, likeable and somewhat relatable characters and spidermen alike. One of the first things that hit me was the incredible soundtrack. It is amazing how the soundtrack blends with the scenes and how it represents Miles' hip hop style . The art style is also very appealing to he audience and like nothing I've ever seen before. It has this comic book touch to it which makes this movie look absolutely beautiful. Probably the best scene in the movie is when Miles finally steps up to become Spiderman. There are so many callbacks and great symbolism in this scene. Miles has finally tied up his laces, and even though he is scared to jump off the building he still takes his leap of faith. Earlier on in the movie Miles looks at his reflection in the Spiderman suit and was small compared to it but now he looks in and perfectly fits. As Miles is falling the camera pans upside down to show that he is not falling but rising, rising towards his destiny. Again in this scene the music fits perfectly, showing that Miles is now ready to become Spiderman. As the scene comes to a close and Miles' comic is dropped, it is clear that Miles Morales is the Ultimate Spiderman. This concludes a very satisfying character arc. To conclude, being a spectacular Spiderman film which beautifully describes how a teenager finds himself whilst giving a great story and multiple laughs along the way, I would definitely recommend this movie to all ages.
Final Verdict : 9.1
